To my readers,
If you would have asked me four months ago if I thought anyone actually read H4BT, there is a good chance I would have laughed in your face. In fact, as of four months ago I had only posted once for the entire year.
Talk about lame sauce.
However, there was something deep within me calling me to do more. Something beckoned me to fulfill my heart’s deep desire to write. I knew that God wasn’t letting me off the hook that easily. I was being told to step up my game. I was being told to do something bigger than me.
I remember sitting at a table discussing this with God, when I said some things I’ll never forget, “God, no one will ever read this. I don’t know if I even can bring hope to people with H4BT.” Then I said it, “This is going to be impossible.”
A few years back, Hollywood made a remake of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. In this film, Alice makes a statement to the Mad Hatter do to the unreal circumstances surrounding them.
“This is impossible.” Alice said.
The Mad Hatter responded, “Only if you believe it is.”
You, the amazing readers of H4BT have proven me wrong. I had doubt and believed it was impossible, yet here we are- 2,000 views later.
We’ve come along way. Thanks to you. God has used you to encourage and challenge me. It was never about what I could, but what God could do through me. You have proven to me that I am my worst enemy. That its only impossible if I truly believe it is.
These are our promises to you-
We will not give into doubt. We will continue to grow, dreaming bigger and bigger ideas. We will continue to always stay practical, honest, fun, and focused on Jesus our King. From movie-quote Monday, to the weekly Life of an Intern, we will bring our “A” game. One fun new addition will be the adding of a monthly guest-blogger. If you’re interested, check it out in the menu bar at the top.
And finally, we promise to continue to follow our King’s guidance and vision; reminding people that with Christ- “there is always hope.”
Continue to read and push H4BT to new heights and dreams. Learn from my mistake- don’t give into doubt. Don’t put limit God to a box. Dream big and live even bigger. Remember this, the only reason we’ve grown is because of God graciously loving and using us in his plan. Let these words give you passion-
